BIO

Sarah Corcoran

Owner/Instructor

Sarah has over 30 years of dance experience and has been teaching for 19 years. Sarah received her dance training at the York County School of Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theatre’s School (currently known as Charlotte Ballet Academy), and North Carolina School of the Arts. She spent her summers at ballet intensives at the Boston Ballet School, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Pittsburgh Youth Ballet, and Charlotte City Ballet. She has studied with numerous master teachers including Nina Danilova, Melissa Hayden, Patricia McBride, and Jean Pierre Bonnefoux. Sarah was a guest artist with Carolina Ballet Theatre performing in Swan Lake and went on tour performing The Nutcracker in NY with NC Dance Theatre when she was in high school. She has also performed in many other  ballets including Coppelia, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Balanchine’s Western Symphony and Raymonda Variations as well as numerous original classical and contemporary pieces. Later in life Sarah began dancing in church and was apart of the MorningStar Dance Ensemble for a number of years. She began her teaching career in 2007. She founded Sarah’s School of Ballet in 2015 where she continues to teach students of all ages and levels. Sarah resides in Fort Mill, SC with her daughter. She loves the community we have at SSB and enjoys helping her students grow in a healthy dance environment.

Rachel Normand

Rachel Normand grew up in Canton, OH where she started dancing at age 10. Under the instruction of Cassandra Crowley, multiple Russian teachers, and Laura Alonso head of Centro Pro Danza De Cuba. She has performed in multiple Nutcrackers, Swan Lake, Peter and the Wolf, & Cinderella.

Rachel danced with Ad Deum (Unto God) Dance Company, a Christian modern dance company in Houston, TX where she had the opportunity to minister through dance at numerous venues, churches, and in the streets of New York City through Project Dance. 

She is passionate about dance and teaching others to worship through movement. 

Guest Instructor

Sarah Wojcik

Sarah Wojcik started dance at the age of 7 and has loved it ever since. She has trained in ballet, lyrical, tap and jazz. She attended Winthrop University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education. Sarah loves helping students of all ages learn new skills and teaching them to love dance, while pushing them to be the best that they can be.
